This is a follow-up to my original "Requests from your friendly neighborhood ADMIN" post made on December 4, 2005.
Once again, I thank all the good members who have behaved themselves so well, and BIG THANKS to our MODERATORS, without whom this Board could not function. Now with over 700 members and over 100,000 posts, this Board can only be termed a success, and a tribute to Victoria Justice and her devoted fans.
Here are a few items that I would greatly appreciate if Board members would be sure to follow to keep things flowing smoothly and to add a bit more security to your own experience.
Security and Your Email Address:
Some members have complained that other members have "stalked" them by sending them unwanted emails. Here are some ways to prevent that:
Signature Pics:
Many members have chosen to display their wonderful creativity and fandom by including some brilliant pictures in their signatures. That's great, and it adds to the color and free experssion on the Board. However, in order to keep the Board from being totally overwhelmed with the Sig pics, I would like to ask members to limit their Signature pictures as follows:
Handling unsavory posts and/or members:
Unfortunately, we have had both. Be aware that we DO ban members who misbehave and show disregard for the Board's rules. Unfortunately some of those people find a way back in and we have to ban them again.
All members should be aware that your first line of defense against unsavory posts and/or members is the MODERATORS. If you notice bad posts that need attention or deletion, send a PM to a MOD! They have the power to delete posts or threads and to lock threads, stopping further discussion. You can also send a PM to an ADMIN, but the MODS are certainly on the Board much more often and can handle things more quickly. Keep these things in mind:
Posting "BUMP":
Some people have tried to keep their favorite thread near the top of the list by periodically posting the word "BUMP" in the thread, hoping it will bump the thread to the top. This doesn't work, so please don't do it. Threads will stay near the top naturally, based on their popularity and participation.
I think that about covers the things I have had on my mind recently. As always, I am here for you, trying to keep the Board safe, secure, and fun for all. Following the above requests should help in achieving that.
Many thanks!

Security and Your Email Address:
Some members have complained that other members have "stalked" them by sending them unwanted emails. Here are some ways to prevent that:
- Keep your Email address HIDDEN in your User Profile on the Board. This will prevent other Board members from finding your Email address. Go to Modify Profile, scroll down to Account Preferences, and for the option Hide Email: choose Yes. Scroll down to the bottom and be sure to click the Modify Profile button to save the changes.
- Do not post your Email address in any threads on the Board. If you WANT someone in particular to email you, send them your Email address in a PM.
- Overall, if you don't want unsolicited Emails, be smart about who you share it with and how.
- Please choose no more than your TWO favorite pictures for your signature. If you have lots of favorites, you can feel free to rotate through your favorites on whatever basis you determine by changing your sig pics whenever you want.
- Please limit the SIZE of your pictures so that they are no more than 700 pixels wide. Pictures much wider than that tend to push the side limits of the Board's display beyond the limits of most people's monitor display. That means people have to not only scroll up and down but must also scroll left to right in order to read an entire post.
- It should go without saying that Signature pics must be in good taste and comply with community standards.
Handling unsavory posts and/or members:

They have the power to delete posts or threads and to lock threads, stopping further discussion. You can also send a PM to an ADMIN, but the MODS are certainly on the Board much more often and can handle things more quickly. Keep these things in mind:
- Copy the evil post and include that in your PM to the MODERATOR or ADMIN. Also use the "Link to Post" feature to copy the URL to the offending post, and include that in the PM.
- Include the evil poster's USER NAME in the PM. Some people have both a USER NAME and a "Nickname" - we need the USER NAME. For instance, "Kiwi ♥" is her NICKNAME but "sapphiremoonangel" is her USER NAME. You can find this out easily by clicking on "Kiwi ♥" or the name displayed in the "Author" column of any post, and there you will see their user profile with their real USER NAME. People who choose not to use a Nickname will only have their USER NAME displayed in their profile.
- DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE EVIL THREADS! If someone posts bad stuff, just report it. Don't try and engage the evil-doer in discussion on the Board or in PMs - that only tends to make it worse. Please read the "Please don't feed the trolls" thread.
