I'd suggest .png for transparency. GIF files aren't exactly known for their quality. most places don't support .png as well, and they are massive in comparison to .jpg/.gif since they are lossless What doesn't support PNG? Tinypic and Imageshack do, and they're both free. And MS Paint can save in PNG, so I assume the program she's using can too. The problem with GIF is it only supports 256 colors per image, which makes photos look terrible.

Oh right, forgot about the color limit. And, well, last time I checked flickr, it didn't support .png anymore except for the Pro users, which is not free.
And if you don't have your full range of colors, you can dither it for a slightly less ugly .gif :S
Anyway, PNG is fine for most things, I'm just saying don't upload some 10MB PNG that takes forever to load on slower connections, like mine sometimes.
And remember: Never upload a BMP! Nothing I've ever used, 1.5-20Mbps, has ever loaded larger ones with any speed at all.

Any chance you could do the ones with the torn edge transparent next time? I'm not sure what you use, but if it lets you, can you save and upload somewhere as a .gif since they are small and support transparency Yeah if that works I can. I just get so used to saving everything as a jpeg. but i'll try if i can! I use Photoshop. I think it's 7.0 but I have access to newer ones. I'll see if i can find a way I love these!! I'm gonna use #6! Karma Thanks! I'm glad you like them! and karma back! =]

Not sure about 7.0, but for me in CS5 GIF is labaled CompuServe GIF, just in case you want to use it and can't find it.

Just use PNG unless you get it saying it will be a few MB, and I'd say that Imageshack is the best place to upload if you don't have a Tinypic account, Flickr doesn't make sense anymore, and Tinypic isn't taking new registrations.
