This post consolidates several threads containing all the rules and admin requests in one place.
Since this thread covers so many topics, it will be locked. If you have questions about a particular topic, please go to the Message Board Info and Rules section and ask your question in the appropriate thread.
Thanks,

Message Board Rules (abbreviated):
See the complete rules here.
The following are not permitted:
Messages found to be in violation of these rules will be deleted without warning. We have set forth these rules, regardless of your stance on them, so that everyone, regardless of their belief system, may feel comfortable using the Board.
Who's Who on the Message Board:
Victoria Justice is vickatnick (Victoria did make 1 post with the username "nickchick" at the beginning, but she does not use that name anymore)
Victoria's mom is vicatnickmom
Victoria's stepdad is spike
Victoria's sister Madison is maddyatnick
Victoria's webmaster is Admin
The various boards also have additional Moderators. Among other things, they can delete posts or threads, or modify posts. They will do this when a post or thread violates the Board's Rules. The moderators' names are listed on the Board's homepage, under each Board's description.
At this time we do not feel the need for any more moderators. The 4 Admins and 3 Mods seem like enough for now

Handling unsavory posts and/or members (Trolls):
All members should be aware that your first line of defense against unsavory posts and/or members is the MODERATORS. If you notice bad posts that need attention or deletion, send a PM to a MOD! They have the power to delete posts or threads and to lock threads, stopping further discussion. You can also send a PM to an ADMIN, but the MODS are certainly on the Board much more often and can handle things more quickly. When reporting, keep these things in mind:

What is Karma?
Karma is basically a member rating system based on their actions.
If you feel a member has done something good, you would give them positive karma, or EXALT them. If you feel they have done something bad, you can give them negative karma, or SMITE them.
This system either adds or subtracts 1 from the user's karma count. This is only of course assuming the admin of the forum has enabled karma.
The exalt link gives the user 1 positive karma, and the smite gives them 1 negative.
You are limited to 1 issue of karma each hour to avoid foul play.

Message Board Rules (abbreviated):
See the complete rules here.
The following are not permitted:
- Profanity, derogatory comments, insults, sexual content, "online dating," and divisive discussion.
- Messages seeking or providing email addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, chat nicknames, or other personal and private information about a member or star.
- Unapproved advertisements, solicitations, or other forms of spamming.
- All participants on The Official Message Board of Victoria Justice are also subject to the PROBOARDS.COM Terms of Service.
Messages found to be in violation of these rules will be deleted without warning. We have set forth these rules, regardless of your stance on them, so that everyone, regardless of their belief system, may feel comfortable using the Board.

Member Conduct (abbreviated):
See more here and here.
- Every member needs just 1 member account. If you have several "Identities" or member accounts, please use just one. Duplicate accounts will be deleted.
- If you wish to ask a single member a personal question, please use the Personal Message (PM) function instead of a starting a thread on the Board.
- Please do not SPAM the Board with continual requests for people to visit your website. Usually 1 announcement about your website is sufficient. Having your site's URL in your signature will also encourage visitors.
- Some people have tried to keep their favorite thread near the top of the list by periodically posting the word "BUMP" in the thread, hoping it will bump the thread to the top. This doesn't work, so please don't do it. Threads will stay near the top naturally, based on their popularity and participation.
- Many questions are asked within the Board that have already been answered in the "Message Board Info and Rules" section at "About the Message Board." For instance, some people don't know how to set up an avatar; some don't know what "smite" and "exalt" mean for karma. Every member, especially newbies, should read what's there. It can really help.
- This Message Board, however, DOES NOT guarantee you unrestricted free speech. The Board Provider (PROBOARDS.COM) and this Board each have rules about what you may or may not say here.
For your Security:
- Keep your Email address HIDDEN in your User Profile on the Board. This will prevent other Board members from finding your Email address.
- Do not post your Email address in any threads on the Board. If you WANT someone in particular to email you, send them your Email address in a PM.
- Overall, if you don't want unsolicited Emails, be smart about who you share it with and how.
Where to post stuff:
- Please make your posts to the appropriate board and thread. Please try to stay on-topic within a thread, or start a new post on another topic. Totally random posts should be posted in the current "Randomness" thread, which should be easy to find.
- All posts about WEBSITES, LINKS TO WEBSITES, REQUESTS FOR HELP WITH WEBSITES, MESSAGE BOARDS, FORUMS, and all things connected to websites beside victoriajustice.net, must be posted in the "Web Sites and Forums" section of the General Board.
- All posts about GRAPHICS, BLENDS, WALLPAPERS, BUTTONS, ANIMATIONS, AVATARS, REQUESTS FOR SUCH GRAPHICS, BLENDS, ETC., must be posted in the "Graphics & Blends" section of the General Board.
- Posts that do not follow the above rules may be moved or deleted without warning.
Signature Pictures:
- Please choose no more than your TWO favorite pictures for your signature. If you have lots of favorites, you can feel free to rotate through your favorites on whatever basis you determine by changing your sig pics whenever you want.
- Please limit the SIZE of your pictures so that they are no more than 700 pixels wide. Pictures much wider than that tend to push the side limits of the Board's display beyond the limits of most people's monitor display. That means people have to not only scroll up and down but must also scroll left to right in order to read an entire post.
- It should go without saying that Signature pics must be in good taste and comply with community standards.
- DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE EVIL THREADS! If someone posts bad stuff, just report it. Don't try and engage the evil-doer in discussion on the Board or in PMs - that only tends to make it worse. Please read the "Please don't feed the trolls" thread.
- Copy the evil post and include that in your PM to the MODERATOR or ADMIN. Also use the "Link to Post" feature to copy the URL to the offending post, and include that in the PM.
- Include the evil poster's USER NAME in the PM. Some people have both a USER NAME and a "Nickname" - we need the USER NAME. For instance, "Kiwi ¢¾" is her NICKNAME but "sapphiremoonangel" is her USER NAME. You can find this out easily by clicking on "Kiwi ¢¾" or the name displayed in the "Author" column of any post, and there you will see their user profile with their real USER NAME. People who choose not to use a Nickname will only have their USER NAME displayed in their profile.
About Membership:
Read more here.
- You need to be a registered member of the The Official Message Board of Actress Victoria Justice to view posts in any forums except "About the Message Board."
- Memberships must be approved by the Administrator before your membership is accepted and completed. Please be patient during the approval process, which may take up to a few days, depending on how busy the Admin is.
- Please do not sign up for more than 1 membership. We ask each member to maintain and use only 1 account. Duplicate memberships will not be approved.
- Also, be sure to ACTIVATE your account by clicking the link in the email you receive after signing up. Accounts that are not activated will not be approved.
- Members who do not log in for more than 90 days will have their membership and account deleted. If that happens to you, you can always sign up for a new account (unless you have been banned).
- Members who are permanently banned will not be permitted to sign up any new accounts or use the board from someone else's account after their account is banned and deleted. Any non-banned member who knowingly allows a banned member to use their account is subject to being banned as well.
- Members who are temporarily banned (suspended) may not sign up any new accounts and may not use the Board until their temporary ban is lifted.
Member Names and Usernames
- All member's Usernames and Nicknames should be in good taste and are subject to approval by the Admin.
- Members may not choose Usernames or Nicknames of popular stars unless you are indeed that star. For instance, a member may not use the name "Matt Underwood" unless you are indeed Matthew Underwood. Members may, however, use names such as "MattUnderwoodFan."
- Members may not choose Usernames or Nicknames that are either "bad words" or that sound like, look like, abbreviate, or otherwise emulate bad words.

You are limited to 1 issue of karma each hour to avoid foul play.
- KARMA should be thought of as a MINOR FEATURE of the Board, and members would do well to remember that the purpose of the Board is to enjoy being a fan of Victoria Justice, and to celebrate her career and talent.
- Members will need to enjoy giving Karma in a mature manner. EXALT (give positive, or +1 karma) when a member deserves it, and SMITE (give negative, or -1 karma) sparingly - almost in rare circomestances - when a member deserves it.
- Members will need to enjoy receiving Karma in a mature manner, whether it is + or - Karma. If you want to be exalted, you also have to be open to possibly being smited as well.
- Arguments, threads, posts, and PMs to Admins or Mods about who smited whom will not be tolerated.
- "Ganging up" to smite another member will not be tolerated.
- Admin will NOT tell anyone who smited whom, under any circomestances, so please don't ask.
- Chronic smiters (those who seem to enjoy smiting much more than exalting people) may be subject to suspension from the Board.
- Members who wish to run games where Karma is promised as a reward will be responsible for issuing the Karma as promised, within the 1-karma-per-hour restriction imposed by the ProBoards program.
Netiquette:
Just a few comments about Internet Etiquette that I'd like to see us all practice a bit more on the Board:
- Thread Subject - If you start a new thread, please put something in the "Subject" box that gives others an idea of what's in there. We really don't need more threads with the subject "OMG OMG" or "LOL" or "I NEED HELP!!!" or "PLEASE READ!!!" It's much more considerate of others to actually have a SUBJECT.
- Quote - When replying to a thread or PM, it is often helpful to quote the relevant parts of the original message that you're replying to. This is not always necessary, but quite often is helpful to other readers. Also, it is not always necessary to quote the entire message.
- Stay on topic - please don't indiscriminately post unrelated comments in a thread. Many threads go WAY off topic when just 1 person steers it away.
- Think before you post - If what you intend to post will not make a positive contribution to the group and be of interest to several readers, it maybe be best not to post it. Personal messages to one or two individuals should not be posted on the Board - use PM instead. This is sometimes stated in other forms, such as "Remember the human."
