Help?
Okay, so i thought about being a teacher but i'm not so well with kids/teens
And i really like working with computers and photoshop But I can't find anything...
I've researched but I guess i'm not getting trusted sources cause i can't find anything that seem reliable.
I start college in August. I know they say you have 2 years to decide because the first two are just basics...but i feel like i need to get ideas now.
Any suggestions?

If you can't decide between a few different majors I'd suggest taking a few classes from each of them to see which ones you like best. A lot of people start college with no clue what they want to major in though, so you're certainly not alone in not knowing,

Heh... I remember that. I did two years of college and dropped out and am going back in the fall... I don't reccomend that.
Take your basic classes. English, Math, Science, what have you. And take a class that just looks fun. I took a Photoshop class, Shakespere class, and Infectious Diseases class just because I thought they would be fun (Yes... I'm strange.. shush) Your advisor can help suggest majors for you, but I wouldn't worry about it until you are a Junior in college. Just have fun. =)

I'm not too worried yet, especially when I have college students telling me that you don't have to know at first.

Haha trust me, not nearly everyone knows what they want to major in for sure when they start college, and a good number switch majors along the way.

Thanks everyone
Yeah my mom and everyone else is also telling me to just take some classes for fun and see what I like. I guess that is the best thing to do.
I was just freaking out... I felt like i needed advice from someone who's actually going to a 4 year school my mom did 2 years.... so i'm guessing it's way different.
But yah, Kiwi, a photoshop class sounds like so much fun! I think i'm gonna take a theater class too!

I remember, when I went on the USC tour, the admission's guy told us the average USC student changes their major 2.6 times. So don't think you need to know.

My crap town has a few graphic design studios, and my friend's mom works at one. From what I've heard, it's not something you can do, and be done with at the end of the day, you take your work home a lot.

At least you have graphic design studios. We have to go to Murfreesboro. That's about an hour long drive.

They aren't used much, as far as I can tell, by the rest of the city. The university students and professors are the ones that I know use it frequently.

I live in Arkansas
The place i'd have to go to make good money would be an hour or more drive.
I could get a job in my town probably, but it wouldn't be promising and would be very low pay.

There's nothing wrong with moving away. I seem to do it once every two years lately... =P
Teaching jobs are always avalable somewhere, and you can do just about anything teaching.
Who knows, you could end up finding that you LOVE Macrobiology and want to do something with that. It's very different than a two year college.. you have a little bit to figure it out.
