You could always just buy an external hard drive and store all your non-system data on that instead of internally. LOL. I need all my entertainment though with me. Like when I travel (about every month) I need my laptop stuff. And it is just convenient for me. You can carry an external hard drive with you. A lot of mobile ones draw all the power they need over USB, so you don't even have to worry about plugging them in. Suddenly I'm being reminded of my first computer. An Inspiron 4000 with a 10GB HDD.

Yeah but other people are saying I need to put an adapter on the drive but I dont know if I will have room because the harddrive slides into a specific slot with no extra room. You shouldn't need an adapter because the connector hasn't changed. I think it's worth a shot, but that's just me. Yeah but my logic board needs to be able to "recognize" it. I don't think it will be able to do so.

Nah I'd rather not. I don't need 320, I needed 160 maybe but I really want a 250GB. If I got a 320 for decent price, then i'd buy it.

Your computer seems a little dusty, you may want to get compressed air and spray the dust out.

Okay, this was the picture I needed: i35.photobucket.com/albums/d181/connor-soccer/RADEON9800Pro003.jpgIf you could take that same pic, but with the white power cable out (make sure your computer is powered off first) that'd be great. Also, clarity doesn't hurt lol It's hard to tell if that connector is damaged at all. It doesn't look damaged from that pic, so I'm doubting that's the problem, so if you don't wanna take another pic that's fine. I'm going to assume you've never reinstalled Windows in this PC, correct?

I took some pics, but the quality due to the flash and such didn't help, but your right- there is no damage that I can see, in both ends. No, I've never re-installed windows.. would you suggest I do? I've never done it before and I may risk something. Anyway, the pic(s). s35.photobucket.com/albums/d181/connor-soccer/?action=view¤t=RADEON9800Pro014.jpg

Based on the specs I'm guessing you've had this computer a long time, right? Eventually issues have a tendency to just start popping up out of nowhere, and reinstalling Windows can fix a lot of those. It's how I keep my desktop running as fast as possible.

Reinstallation might help.
